Grace (in Japanese - yuubi 優美 )

Women in economically developed societies often feel challenged in fulfilling their traditional and newly embraced roles – being successful career women, loving mothers, passionate lovers, caring wives, muses of their men... Often excelling in one of those roles comes at the expense of something else.

Arriving in Japan, I was impressed with the ability of Japanese women to remain connected to their intrinsic femininity, gracefulness in keeping their ethereal, mysterious and somewhat dreamy allure. The series 'Grace' is a visual essay about Japanese grace and femininity.

The series 'Grace' won a Silver Prize from Fine Art Photography Awards 2015 and Honorable Mention from International Photography Awards 2015.
