It is a visual journey, or rather a collection of journeys from Lagos to the West coast of the Atlantic ocean. The series is an attempt to feel more and enjoy the uniqueness, the authenticity and the wealth of this part of Algarve.

Those have been journeys where I forgot the time, I was just there in the moment … stroked by the winds, burned by the strong sun, seduced by the smells, enticed by the vastness of the ocean…with the feeling for being part of something bigger than my brain can imagine.

I kept discovering the beaches, the roads and the fields. A few months later I was coming back to them and was seeing them with new eyes. Often the seasons change was making them appear as totally new to my eyes. I felt in love with some of the places without being able to explain why I kept coming to certain beaches or places. I was taking pictures again and again.

I was sitting on a beach and contemplating the views, walking on the shores, feeling the hot sand and suddenly the cold wave of water, forgetting everything and suddenly realizing that I understand a new language. As though the waves, the seagulls, the rocks and the wind were telling me their tales and secrets.
